Stations of the Cross Prayer 2026
From 7:30 pm to 7:30 pmThe Celebration of the Stations of the Cross The Stations of the Cross will be celebrated in a bilingual format in Spanish and Catalan, every Friday of Lent, after Mass, starting at 7:30 PM. During the Stations of the Cross, we experience all the moments of Jesus, accompanying Him on His path of surrender and love, remembering His passion and sacrifice for us. It is a time of deep prayer, reflection, and communion with Christ and the community. Stations of the Cross Prayer Lord Jesus Christ, You have accepted for us to run the course of the grain of wheat that falls to the ground and dies to produce much fruit (Jn 12:24). You invite us to follow You when You say: “Whoever loves their life loses it, and whoever hates their life in this world will keep it for eternal life” (Jn 12:25). Yet we cling to our life. We do not want to let it go, but keep it for ourselves. We want to possess it, not offer it. You go before us and show us that only by giving it away do we save our life. By walking with You in the Stations of the Cross, You want to guide us toward the process of the grain of wheat, toward the path that leads to eternity. The cross—our self-surrender—weighs heavily upon us. But in Your Stations of the Cross, You have also carried my cross, and You did not do it in a moment long past, because Your love is for my life today. You carry it today with me and for me, and, in an admirable way, You want me now, like Simon of Cyrene then, to carry Your cross with You and, accompanying You, to join You in the service of the redemption of the world. Help me so that my Stations of the Cross are more than a momentary feeling of devotion. Help us to accompany You not only with noble thoughts, but to walk Your path with our hearts, even more, with the concrete steps of our daily life. May we follow the way of the cross with our whole being, always following Your footsteps. Deliver us from the fear of the cross, the fear of mockery from others, the fear that our life may slip away if we do not seize everything it offers us. Help us to unmask the temptations that promise life, but whose results, in the end, leave us empty and frustrated. Instead of wanting to hold onto life, help us to give it away. Help us, by accompanying You in this journey of the grain of wheat, to find, in “losing our life,” the path of love, the way that truly gives us life, and life in abundance (Jn 10:10). Amen

Stations of the Cross Prayer
Lord Jesus Christ, You have accepted for us to run the course of the grain of wheat that falls to the ground and dies to produce much fruit (Jn 12:24).
